Community

Since we first had access to our new restaurant venue in Twickenham in January 2019, we have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know some amazing local businesses and inspiring individuals. We are proud to be part of such a dynamic and welcoming community, so here, on our community page we would like to highlight their actions and help promote their products and services.

WWW.THEPURPLEELEPHANTPROJECT.ORG - Listening to improve young lives

This year we are proud to be collaborating with The Purple Elephant Project - a local children’s charity based in Twickenham, providing support to children and their families affected by life experiences through specialist therapeutic services. The Purple Elephant Project provides specialist therapies to vulnerable children helping them to express their feelings, process their life events, and reach their full potential and a brighter future. In parallel they offer guidance and a listening ear to both parents and carers. Whether through outreach work into schools, or interventions held at their welcoming hub in Twickenham, The Purple Elephant team work to transform lives. As part of our program we are asking clients for a £1 voluntary charitable contribution which will be added to their bill.

WWW.THEFIRSTMILE.CO.UK - Easy, low cost commercial business recycling

To ensure that all of our commercial waste is recycled we work with an amazing company called First Mile. In 2004 they set out on a mission to revolutionise waste and recycling for businesses. Along the way they have pioneered some awesome tech, which helps them deliver a hassle-free, reliable service that is good for their customers and the planet. First Mile guarantees that absolutely none of the waste they collect goes to landfill.

WWW.EELPIEMUSEUM.CO.UK - Showcasing a wealth of significant musical heritage

One of our favourite local attractions is the extraordinary Eel Pie Island Museum which celebrates all that has made Eel Pie Island famous. From its unique working boatyards to the part the Eel Pie Island Hotel played in the British blues explosion of the 1960s and how it helped superstars such as the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Rod Stewart kick start their musical careers. Its a must see if you are visiting Twickenham!

WWW.THEBLOOMERY.CO.UK - A boutique florist inspired by nature and the arts

Each week the lovely team at The Bloomery put together a beautiful fresh flower arrangement for our restaurant. Also based in Church Street, The Bloomery provide flowers with a unique edge – from bouquets for a new home to flowers to dress wedding venues or events. They also stock a large variety of seasonal plants for the garden as well as interior plants to bring life to your home.

WWW.CRUSADERTRAVEL.COM - Delivering magical holidays since the 1960’s

Our Church Street neighbours - Crusader Travel have been hugely supportive of our new restaurant venture. In addition to running their independent, specialist travel agency they provide and look after the beautiful flowerpots and brightly coloured hanging baskets which adorn the area around our restaurant courtyard.
